Use WordPress content beyond ordinary posts, such as pages or an eligible custom post type.
Before you start
Activate compatible Free and Pro. The plugin or theme registering your custom post type must remain active, and the type must be public and publicly queryable. Attachments and TickerPress tickers are excluded. You need permission to edit tickers. Open TickerPress → Tickers, then Edit the ticker. For public output, the ticker must be published, enabled, and contain enabled content that resolves to at least one item.
Steps
- Open Content → Add content, choose WordPress content, and select Add.
- Select one Post type. Add a separate component for each additional post type you want to include.
- For Selection → Automatic query, set Maximum items, Order, and Skip first items. Apply the available Include… and Exclude… taxonomy filters if needed.
- Alternatively choose Handpick entries, then Search and select entries. These entries display in selection order without automatic count, offset, or taxonomy filtering.
- Optionally enable Show featured image, Show date, or Show term label. For a term label, select Term label taxonomy.
- Select Update and check the public titles and destination links.
Expected result
Published entries from the selected eligible post type appear together at the component’s position. The first assigned term from the chosen taxonomy supplies its optional label.
Troubleshooting and limits
The title “any post type” does not include private/non-queryable types. Changing Post type clears selected entries and taxonomy selections; configure them again. Newest/oldest order uses publication date, not an event date or custom field. Generic product queries do not provide the dedicated WooCommerce component’s stock filtering or price controls. Free WordPress posts is limited to posts.
