Choose continuous movement or a sequence of individual items.
Before you start
Use two or more enabled content items to compare transitions. You need permission to edit tickers. Open TickerPress → Tickers, then Edit the ticker. For public output, the ticker must be published, enabled, and contain enabled content that resolves to at least one item.
Steps
- Open Animation → Movement → Animation type.
- Choose Continuous scroll for a moving strip, Slide for horizontal item transitions, or Fade for cross-fading items.
- For continuous scrolling, set Direction and Scroll speed (pixels per second). For slide/fade, set Time per item (seconds) and Transition duration (ms); use Direction where offered.
- Set Pause on hover, review the preview, and select Update.
- On the public page, check hover pause and move keyboard focus into a link. Also check your operating system’s reduced-motion setting.
Expected result
The ticker uses the selected movement and timing. Keyboard focus inside the ticker pauses movement. Reduced-motion preferences change how motion is presented.
Troubleshooting and limits
One item can scroll continuously, but slide/fade holds a single item. A paused ticker or reduced-motion setting can explain absent movement. Horizontal reveal and Typewriter require compatible Pro. Static and vertical animation modes are not offered.
