Add a promotional message, feed headlines, or product entries to your ticker.
Before you start
Activate compatible TickerPress Free and Pro. For RSS, use a working feed URL. For product content, activate WooCommerce and prepare published, visible, in-stock products. You need permission to edit tickers. Open TickerPress → Tickers, then Edit the ticker. For public output, the ticker must be published, enabled, and contain enabled content that resolves to at least one item.
Steps
- Open Content → Add content. Choose Promo, RSS feed, or WooCommerce products, then Add.
- For Promo, choose Select image, then enter Heading and Content. Add useful image alternative text in the media library. The heading is rendered as an h4; there is no heading-level selector.
- For RSS feed, set Feed URL and Maximum items. Optionally enable Show image, Show date, and Show category.
- For the shortest predictable WooCommerce setup, set Selection → Handpick products and use Search and select products. Enable Show price and Show product image as needed.
- Reorder the component among other entries, review the preview, and select Update. Verify the public text, links, images, and prices against the original sources.
Expected result
Each source contributes items at its list position. Product titles and links are always included. Optional feed fields appear only when provided by the feed; feed items retain feed order.
Troubleshooting and limits
An unavailable WooCommerce card requires its host plugin and compatible Pro. Missing or out-of-stock products are omitted; handpicked selections retain their order. Failed/empty feeds contribute no items, without a feed-error message in the editor. An RSS image depends on a usable enclosure and is not guaranteed for every feed. Variable-product prices come from WooCommerce’s formatted price output.
